Another call for help! I am currently updating my FAW policy for use in a Health environment. Two issue's have arisen! 1. Are Project 2000 nurses permitted/qualified to administer First Aid? and, 2. List of contents; some First Aiders have been told that the safety pins are to be removed from the list (for Health and Safety!) can anyone shed any light on this? (I know the list is for guidance only). Many thanks Andrew

Andrew,
You may find some guidance in this site's Public Forums List (on page two or three)- "Nurses Employed in Workplace".

David

Theres no need for safety pins, I did my First Aid 4 day course a couple of years ago with the British Red Cross and we didnt use safety pins. If the nurses are registered then they can administer first aid.
