Posted By Keith Penfold Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of a low-lift truck known as a 'Stringo'. Basically it is used to move vehicles without having to start the vehicle. The sort of locations where the Stringo would be used are car showrooms and large car storage areas. I am keen to see if anyone has a safe system of work in place. I am also trying to establish if they would come under LOLER regs - as they do lift the vehicle. Thanks. Keith Penfold keith.penfold@met.police.uk

Posted By John Webster Keith Stringos are essentially the same as pallet trucks - just the surface used for contact with the load is custom made for cars rather than pallets. So they would come within LOLER.
