Posted By W Scott Murdoch I have just been informed that at the end of the year you will not be allowed to work of steps or ladders at any height and will be required to use a mobile work platform for any work above one step. Can anyone confirm that this is correct.

Posted By Heather Aston Someone has misinerpreted the impact of the proposed new Regs on working at heights. (Or has believed what they read in the Sun!)What HSE is saying is that ladders are often used for jobs where it is not really safe to do so. Risk assessment is the key, as always in H&S.
