Posted By Sue Maleedy Looking for some help. Does anyone have a Manual/Patient Handling assessment tool specifically adapted for use within a Care Home Environment.

Posted By Kieran J Duignan Sue The Manual Handling Assessment Charts published by the HSE and downloadable from hse.gov.uk/msd/mac provides guidance on handling people and other loads that can be readily applied in a care home environment. If some staff have difficulties recalling the information when they're carrying out the manual handling operations, you can put some of the diagrams up on the wall so that clients and staff can easily glance at them before they start lifting.
