Posted By Kevin Irwin Paul, What sort of induction are you referring to? Surely if they are working on the railway they will hold PTS certification. There is a section in RT/LS/S/008 giving basic safety information.

Posted By David Brede Good evening. I have not got a powerpoint for you but I am sure that one could be devised using the pictograms shown in the rule book. However I would like to find out why this is necessary as most workers using RIMINI safe systems of work will have had PTS training and would have to be briefed about the conditions extant on the site at the time of going trackside by the COSS managing it. If you are working in a particular facet of the industry you could contact a committee member specialising in your field of work by going on to the Railway SG pages of the IOSH website and going through the pen pictures there and then using the link to contact them. Posted By PaulA Hello again, thankyou for you replies. All of the staff are PTS trained, but the company has started a new contract that involves various contractors and other organisations working together for the first time. we do give briefings to all our staff at regular intervals and they all receive appropriate induction training on each site..but the boss would like a 'new and improved variety' to ensure complete 'satisafaction'... Posted By Richard Whitehead Paula I work for a company that is both a manufacturer and a railway contractor. I have an induction for our site operatives that was an adaptation of the one for manufacturing operatives but given a railway flavour to complement their PTS training and make them aware of specific company rules. I can e-mail this to you if interested. Richard Whitehead (RSG Committee Member)
