Do you think it important to be accredited to ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001?

9000 and 14000 have an important commercial value. They help to convince the customer that you are serious. So for any decent sized business they are "must haves"
Not many people outside of the profession have heard of 18000. So it has little or no commercial value. I know that BSI and others have certified a number of companies, but what does it mean outside of those companies ?
However, as a guide to managing OHS effectively and efficiently, 18000 is a very good tool. Implement and run your programmes to that standard (and not just on paper) and you will have a good start on managing safety. (it is not alll in the book, is it ?)
Whether or not you bother to get certified is up to you, at the moment.
