Posted By Nick Egan We have paid our First Aiders £8.67 per month, since 1986 and possibly as far back as about 1974. What level of additioanl payment do organisations currently give to their Volunteer First Responders? I would be grateful for your help as I think we need to stem the tide of ex-volunteers with a better incentive.

Posted By Paul Adams There was a thread on this some time ago. Try a search. We don't give an incentive, except the training of course. We don't want first aiders who are only in it for a little bit extra. Paul

Posted By John Webster I seem to remember this coming up some while ago, so try searching the old forum for some more answers. We do not pay anything extra, but then our sector is healthcare.

Posted By Patrick Guyomard Old Job (Power Industry) - £100 per year but we set up a yearly 'situation' to test that they still knew their stuff and occasionally got someone to 'faint' during a fire drill just to make things interesting. New Job (Retail) - £0.00 monthly, they get free trainig and a few days off work, what more do they want.

Posted By David A Jones Fire marshall £100 per year First aider (including appointed persons) £250 per year Both fire marshall and first aider £500 per year Also we are geared up to have more than the 'recommended' levels of first aiders - allowing us to have a multi-skilled emergency response team.
