This is an odd one but here goes.
We would like to courier some biological samples (tiny marine creatures in vials) in 4% formalin solution.
Any thoughts on applicable rules, legislation.......

Legislation - Coshh would certainly apply.
Specimens should be packaged and secured in a rigid ,leak proof transport container.
The container should contain instruction on what to do in the event of a spillage. This should include a contact number for advice.

suggest you use a courier who is certified and competant to carry the items you describe. I am contacting you direct with the name of such a company (which I have no direct or indirect dealings with)
