Went to the exhibition last Wednesday.
Was ok but one "exhibitor" in particular caught my eye for the wrong reason and I don't recall the Co name
The team were actively swigging beer out of bottles. It didn't come across as very professional nor portray a reasonably good image. I wonder if they secured any "deals" or leads? I also wonder if the sponsors of the event actually condone this "workplace" activity. Did anybody else notice
By the way I do enjoy beer, in fact all alcohol, but there is a time and a place. I wonder if their boss was there?

Totally agree with you Struan - alcohol should be totally banned from the workplace and reserved for social occasions. But then of course expos are regarded by exhibitors and attendees alike as one big social occasion. Should anyone ask about or offer technical information they will, statisticaly, (how do you spell that ?)be totally igonored.
I well remember the first time we "exhibited". I was astonished to see the bottles of champagne and white wine going into the fridges at 9am, and a few being consumed before the 10 am opening. Subsequent years, when we got bored with being pointedly ignored, we would take a walk around the expo to greet people we had met in previous years. And have a drink with them.
I also have a fond memory of the young lady from across the aisle who asked me to pull on her corkscrew. She had got it in allright, but needed someone strong to get it out.
By the way, were you wearing your conker ?
