Im looking at doing a journey management policy/procedure. I have pulled out the Driving at work information from the HSE and was wondering if anyone had one to hand (basicaly i'm a lazy git and emerdale is just starting), not really, but any pointers would be appreciated (over to you Fats)
Bye the way someone told me that if you give a lift to someone in a company vehicle, and that person is injured whilst in your vehicle, that you become liable and may be taken to court for their injuries. Even though you instruct your drivers no unautherised lifts Over to the forum

Sorry Jim, can't help there yet. Journey planning is something that I have still on my list of things to do. I'll be happy to have a look at what youv'e got so far though!!

Hello James, regarding the practice of is it wrong to give a lift to folk... the case of Rose 'v' Plenty should help clarify that point.

I'll send you a copy of our "Work-related Road Safety " policy.
We have a section on journey planning and risk assessment, as well as guidance on driving licences, endorsements etc.
If you get chance, take a look at the RoSPA publication "Driving at Work". It is excellent.
