Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier of one of the little gizmo's you use to check that EM lights are working, as I can't get one for love nor money
Cheers

These little gizmo's are a very small piece of stamped metal that is available from any local electrical wholesaler for a few pennies.
alternatively ask your friendly local electrician next time he is in doing some small works for you and he will probably give you one out of his pocket.
the same applies to the little pieces of shaped plastic for testing fire alarm call points

It's called a "fish key". You can get them from CPC for 84p (part no PL03065)

A word of caution...
Check the fish key you are purchasing actually fits the switch you're trying to test.
I have 4 types on my keyring and not all of them fit all the switches I have to test.
It's taken me 6 months to find a universal key!
