Is there a legal requiremet to hold a minimun amount of safety meetings per year

No set number of meetings stipulated in law. You have a duty to consult staff/trade unions. How often you hold meetings is by local agreement (and interest?)

The Safety Representatives and safety Committee Regulations are the nearest you will get to a legal requirement, however you should identify the frequency and agenda of the meetings in your Company Policy etc.

Thanks I didnt think there was any specific requirment the only mention i could find was in the safety reps regs I had areport come back commenting on the need for 6 meetings per year but i think this consultant had just made it up
