Posted By Rakesh Maharaj Dear All,
Recently the HSE made a 'recommendation' to one of our clients, we have had to determine the viability thereof. I am interested if any of you have dealt with HSE Contract Research reports in the past, and if so, could you help with the following:
Do the HSE publicise the Contract Research Reports in any way, other than via the website ? Without visiting the website, how would specific industries know that these Contract Research Reports exist ? Some reports were first published in 1987. Were they available from the website in 1987 ? If not, how would you obtain a copy ?
Any insights into this would be appreciated.
Echoing Allan's sentiments, I hope you all have a warm xmas and a safe and prosperous 2005.
Regards
Rakesh

As you rightly state, some reports are available on the HSE web site - other are not.
I am not aware of a complete list of reports being available, but most of the health and safety information providers, barbour index and Technical indices have copies of reports available on thier site - at a price, being membership or day rates (if they offer these).
The other opportunity to access such sites (for example) is if undertaking a University course and gaining access using a student 'Athens' name and password provided by the University.
Perhaps others can offer some insight...

Posted By Peter Batty Hi if you use the address below you will get a list of Contract Research Reports in batches, clicking on one of them will list the contract research reports in that batch. Almost all are downloadable from the net. http://search.hse.gov.uk...one&qu=contract+researchHope this helps Peter.

Posted By David Sinclair Rakesh,
I left university in 1996 and at that time the HSE used to publish lists of contract reports, which were included in such publications as the Health and Safety Bulletin ("HSB").
I used to then telephone or write to (if I remember correctly) HSE Books and prior to that the HSE's publication office to obtain full copies of the reports.
I hope this helps.
