We have a small/medium size workforce witha wide variety of skills and training reqirements. We understake excavator operations, MEWP operations, ground burning, asbestos removal, work involving chainsaws, abrasive wheels,Welding, mechanical fitters, forklift operations heavy goods (ADR) and a host of others. We also are involved in the CSCS/CITB training and safety passport schemes.

We rely at the moment on a crude excel spreadsheet and basic computer records to manage everything and the strain is showing. Is there a bespoke system/software out there that someone can recommend to make my life easier and training more professional.

Peter,

Approx a year ago we initiated a review of suitable software on the market for h&s record retention, not just training records.

Of the packages we reviewed we thought a company called Oberon International appeared to be most suited. The package was titled "Health & Safety Manager Express" (our requirements have now changed).

My contact was Richard Zaluska 0845 757 3339. Give them a call they may be able to help (I have no connection with Oberon).

Regards Keith
