Posted By Shane Johnston You know the stats on silly accidents .. number of people injured by a toothbrush, number of people injured putting on their pants etc etc. Does anyone know the source of this info ? Shane.

Posted By Phil Grace Not sure whether they should be called "silly accidents"....! Source I used to use was HASS/LASS - the Home "Leisure" Accident Survey Statistics. Cautuon needed since the approach was to take reports of visits to A&E Depts from a selection of hospitals across the country and then "gross up" the figures to produce results such as 270 people injured by tea cosy, 2,700 by garden fork etc. However, the DTi who ran this scheme closed it down in 2003 - with publication of data for period 2000/2002.
