Could anyone out there aid me in the COSHH assessment of bodyshop processes ?

I have a suitable template but require further info on the likely hazards that each process may produce.

Does anyone have experience of these work practices ?

I have broken it down to small and large prep work , Strip and fit and paint spraying .

Thanks

Shaun

There is some help in 5 Steps to Risk Assessment, HSG183, but you may need help from an occupational hygienist (like me) to monitor exposure to, for example, isocyanates. Contact me off-list if you need more help.

If you look on HSE books you can get some free leaflets, in particular INDG388 use of 2 pack icocyanate paints.

Hi,
you might find the HSE book HS(G) 67 "Health and Safety in Motor Vehicle repair" useful (costs about £10).

Happy Xmas!
