I am hoping that someone can help.

I am currently revising for my NTU Diploma HS&E Management. One area of revision is the new proposals for the duty to investigate accidents.

Does anyone have a summmary of the proposals or is anyone aware of a web site where I will find this information.

It is only a summary that I want to assist with my revision.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Regards,

Ken Chappell

It's not clear from your posting whether you have the condoc or not; if not, you can find it at http://www.hse.gov.uk/consult/condocs/cd169.pdf.
The preamble may provide the information you are looking for.

Hi Ken
You can find the IOSH response to this document and a short summary on this site. Go to consultation pages located in the technical information section and click on the archive link on the right hand side. Enter 2001 in the filter and scroll down, and you will see the title and links.
At present we don't have the actual documents on site once the have gone to the archive, but this will be changing in 2005 as they are going to be added to the archive to aid members in their researches. Hope this helps!
