Posted By Karla Jones I would like some ideas in developing a Staff Suggestion Scheme in SQE, for our organisation. Any suggestions re -where to begin.

Posted By Mark Talbot Begin with a sizeable budget that you can directly control... without the ability to put right the things that are brought up as issues all your hard work will be wasted as people get disinfranchised [sp? sorry] so easily. Then, look to ask questions about achievements, projects you are underway with, and things you know need tackling. Workshops work well in works hours, not at lunchtimes. The 'suggestion box' scheme works well short-term, especially if people are publicly recognised or rewarded [beware the people who 'suggest' things you have just told them about though, wink].

Posted By Andrew Farrell Hi Karla, I would start by asking your staff for suggestions. If they are to buy into a scheme they are more likely to do so if they have had an input into the process. It is also very likely that many of them have seen both good and bad schemes adopted at their previous employers and will be willing to share their experiences with you. Kind Regards Andy

Posted By Karla Jones Mark, Andrew Thank you both for your response. It's a stepping stone and I have now commenced a programme and am in the process of selecting a suitable method of implementation. Regards Karla
