Posted By Rob T Hi Philip, If you have a look at the specialist groups site (see left) then go to the international specialist group site, you will find various pieces (links) of H&S legislation in Ireland. I hope this helps. Cheers Rob

Posted By jacqueline Hi Philip, as most Legislation comes from Europe, there are certain similarities in both sets of Legislation. As you are aware, the difference is in how each country implements theirs. Although, the HSA website will point you in the right direction as regards Legislative requirements, it may be worth looking at the two main pieces first, namely: 1) The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 1989 (No. 7 of 1989) 2) Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 1993 (S.I. No. 44 of 1993 - and also the amendment of 2003) These can be found quite easily with a web search Regards Jacqueline

Posted By Emlyn Troy Philip, All Irish legislation (up to 2003) is available from the Attorney General's website: www.irishstatutebook.ie However, if you're looking for an interpretation of the law, then there is an excellent book by Ireland's foremost H&S barrister, Raymond Byrne. In it he deals with statutory as well as case law. His book is explained (and available) here: http://www.nifast.ie/other_pub.asp Regards, Emlyn.
