Posted By Ann Hacon Hi We deliver an organisational induction, much more of an organisational overview than specific areas because the delegates work across the county with different arrangements in place. Participation really gets positive feedback - a combination of company information and discussions works. Does anyone have any techniques that really involves participants too...... it would be good to hear what spices up your induction or any other training sessions. With thanks

Posted By Sylvia Tyler Have you considered a spot the hazard competition - using pictures with several hazards on and offering a "prize" (as simple as a mars bar). People tend to be competive. Also "Risk Assessment" - who can get the most words of 2 or more letters. Quizzes can be ice breakers and get the workforce's interest/ It is difficult to make inductions interesting as the majority of people don't want to be there, that includes us sometimes - so go in positve, enthuastic and smiling, it might be infectious. Regards & Good luck Sylvia

Posted By Wazza I usually try some modern music (aimed at the workforce) or some media player short video footage or funnies. My recent behavioural safety training started with Armarillo v. Max & Paddy - the workforce relax and become easy. A few poor behaviour examples are also good, especially from extreme web sites the little clips. So there you go, the modern trainer plays Peter Kay miming Armarillo......that'll dink dank do!! If you want some funny videos then just ask. Best of luck. Warren
