I think Buster Keaton did something that included hanging from the hands of a clock over the NY streets and I'm sure there was one that featured either Abbott & Costello or Laurel & Hardy as workmen on a skyscraper construction.

It just goes to show what a long way the construction industry has come since these guys were walking steels at some ridiculous hieght.
