We install and maintain a considerable quantity of barbed tape coil at the site where I work. However, most of the gloves and clothing we have tried to-date, which is expensive kevlar-based equipment, tends to have a fairly limited life. I would be most grateful if anyone with experience of using razor wire could possibly recommend a range of PPE which might provide longer lasting protection.

Sorry to be facetious, but armour comes to mind.

Would chain mail be suitable? Butchers use chain mail aprons and gloves to protect themselves from cuts.

The military use large amounts of this stuff.
Try your nearest Army/RN/RAF base
