Jim,
I don't wish to sound rude but how can you deliver an effective course on dumper truck driving when you are not sure what is involved?
Surely this is a job for an outside agent.
Why not contact Thwaites Limited in Cubbington near Leamington Spa. They make the things so may be able to point you in the right direction.
Regards,

Jim,
Most construction companies have within their policy a requirement for any operator of plant for which there is an accredited training scheme to have that accreditation. The training can only be delivered by an accredited trainer. In addition to the training all dumper drivers should hold the appropriate CSCS card which for plant operators is the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) which replaced the old CTA card. The code for a dumper is A09.
Affiliated schemes are NPORS and LANTRA.
Without being too unkind, it is very doubtful whether you would be sufficiently competent to deliver this training. Questions often asked by HSE in the wake of a dumper accident are who trained the driver? and who trained the trainer?

Jim,
we are an accredited organisation who deliver dumper truck training. Our training is accredited by Lantra. In order to deliver dumper training for Lantra you must have 3 years experience and then attend a technical evaluation which is basically you proving to them that you have the instructional and operational techniques. If you require any further info dont hesitate to contact us.
