Posted By ken mosley Jim, Most construction companies have within their policy a requirement for any operator of plant for which there is an accredited training scheme to have that accreditation. The training can only be delivered by an accredited trainer. In addition to the training all dumper drivers should hold the appropriate CSCS card which for plant operators is the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) which replaced the old CTA card. The code for a dumper is A09. Affiliated schemes are NPORS and LANTRA. Without being too unkind, it is very doubtful whether you would be sufficiently competent to deliver this training. Questions often asked by HSE in the wake of a dumper accident are who trained the driver? and who trained the trainer?
