Posted By Stuart Nagle In the UK, due to the new privacy laws, an individual can now find out if they have been caught on camera speeding by simply logging in to the central records office. All you need is a registration number..... http://www.e-database.co.uk/ Check it out all you speedy H&S persons !

Posted By Stuart Nagle Merv. Regardless of your cars EU plates, there is now an EU wide Government agreement on fines, that means if your caught on a UK speed camera with any EU member state registration plate.... You're knicked.... Stuart

Posted By Merv Newman Not in force at the moment, Stuart. Compatability problems. Witness all the dutch, belgian, german and english cars speeding past the new automatic radars on the French autoroutes. Anyway, we, as professional people, respect the speed limits to the nearest mph. don't we ? Merv

Posted By David J Bristow Stuart I connected to the webb site you gave – clicked on login – it gave me a username and password so I continue, purley out off curiosity you understand. As Merv suggested, we Health and Safety Professionals don’t speed, do we! Well to my surprise I have one, details as follows: County Cleveland Town Middlesbrough Road A19 Location Thornaby A66 Carriageway Grid Ref NZ446526 Speed Limit 70mph Camera ref 318 Date of offence April-4, 2005 Speed Recorded 81.2mph Registration *** *** This search was conducted on 1/4/2005 @ 22.07:38 I know the police are trying everything in the book to earn revenue from speeding motorists, but the above is very, very bizarre! LOOK AT THE DATE OF OFFENCE: I know I posted an April Fool earlier today – but honestly this is a copy of the print out from the site – weird or what! Will be watching out for the postman coming! but wont be losing any sleep over it. Regards David B
