With the recent innovation of handsfree bluetooth headsets, a number of employees are asking for a clear policy on the following, if bluetooth is concidered safer than holding mobiles adjacent to the head (World Health Organisation) whether bluetooth should therefore be issued to all engineering employees who are expected to use their mobiles for company business. My thoughts are that we Risk Assess the users in terms of frequency and duration of use and issue bluetooth to significant users. Has anyone a policy on this or guidelines?

Just as a quick aside there's a short article here www.nu-riskservices.co.uk reporting yet another study which has failed to turn up any health risk from using standard mobiles, let alone bluetooth,
