What websites do you use a lot and get the most from H&S.

www.whatrisk.com
Great site with lots of free advice and info. It also has a free 'ask the expert' facility ("ask dennis").
The site is ran by National Britannia and there is some stuff about how they may be able to assist and provide 'solutions', but the site in the main is good, free info.
The site also has a free newsletter that is downloadable full of the latest news of interest to the Health and Safety / Environmental Manager.
Of course this the IOSH site is also worthy of a mention together with the HSE website.

Other than this one of course :)
HSE website - getting better all the time - lots of good free advice and downloads.
Croner - even the non-subscription version (with the regular e-mail alerts) is very useful.
Various governement dept sites - environment agency, food standards agency, etc.
Google - the search engine that can find anything.
And as a subscription information service - Barbour Professional. Not cheap, but provides access to the text of all sorts of useful stuff.
I have no connection with any of these sites except as a user.

Among subscription sites, www.hsedirect.com, pricey but access to everything in HSE books catalogue and more
www.nu-riskservices.co.uk, mainly because Norwich Union did some work here before I came along, but it's a good general news site with a free bulletin (and doesn't seem to result in spam if you tick the right boxes)
www.fire.org.uk, firenet's homepage, part free and part subscription, tons of amazingly useful stuff domestic and business including an online copy of Fire Safety and Employer's Guide

I set up a site with links to assist students on H&S courses at Wirral Met College.
The address is www.freewebs.com/safetyassistance
The idea was to have a single address from which you could link into other sites without the need to remember loads of addresses. Give it a go and let me know what you think.
Dave.
