Scaffolding - 'Boards are closely laid together and sufficient space has been allowed between the inner edge and the face of the brick work, to allow the bricklayer to plumb the wall'
On inspection is there a prescribed max space at all? I'm hoping BS 5973 will help me when I recieve it. Any help from you folks out there.
Regards, J

Have just looked at the new WaH regs Sch 1 part e.i. posses a surface which has no gap through which a person could fall - you will need to carry out a site specific risk assessment to ascertain your maximum gap

I heard the 300mm gap and I thought can this be right as it is pretty wide!
Which regs take precedent - Wat H Regs or the Construction (H,S &W) Regs. I agree risk assessment is essential to this and this include the standards and good working practices we need to adhere to.
BS 5973 has been superseeded by EN 12811 and several parts.
Thanks for your help, if you find out any more please contact me directly.
