Posted By MarkSMark Hello everyone. Can anyone recommend a good Health and Safety Reference book for me to buy? I want one that I can quickly look up facts, legal requirements etc. I recently saw one called Principles of health and safety... but it looks too basic. Thanks for your help.

Posted By Delwynne tempted as I am not to post I can't see how this one is going to get twisted around! From the legal side of things I find Stranks 'Health & Safety Law' invaluable.

Posted By David.G.C Tolleys Health and safety handbook current edition covers all areas of health and safety and is presented in a logical A-Z format. The latest editon addresses all recent changes in legislation and regulations, including case law studies. This handbook is the definitive one stop reference source for Health and Safety Practitioners and has proven in-valuable, retails around £80.00 mind, but worth it

Posted By Chris Black I would stick with Ridley and A St J Holt. I have a Stranks but wont buy it again because of poor referrencing of legislation that could cause a lot of problems in the wrong hands in certain situations
