Posted By Dean Tonks I was made aware that there is a specific safety sign relating to the storage of oxygen cylinders. I have searched the net and various catalogues to find this sign but to no avail. Is there a specific sign? I was advised that the sign contained a green cylinder?Anybody help please !!!!

Posted By Paul Swift Hi Dean I think the sign you are looking for is the green diamond compressed gas sign. Have a look at http://www.spservices.co.uk/index.php/cPath/46_47 for a couple of examples Ragrds Paul

Posted By Jon Bradburn Hi I have only ever seen the green diamonds in use on vehicles etc but someone may geive more detail on this. We use the yellow warning triangle with cylinder pictogram. It has Danger - oxidising gas under it. Seatons do a similar sign but with Danger - oxygen cylinder (Item MP082 on page MA72 if you can get hold of their catalogue). Can't say I have ever heard of any specific 'must' requirement to mention oxygen though common sense suggests we identify it as it is stored apart form other cylinders - I stand to be corrected - hope this helps Regards Jon B

Posted By Paul Leadbetter I agree with Jon; diamond-shaped signs are for transport only. The correct sign in a workplace is an upright yellow triangle with an appropriate pictogram and, if necessary, some explanatory text. Paul
