Posted By Linda Crossland-Clarke Hi folks Are those of you (in councils and contractors to) aware that there is a new requirement being implements for the highways division(lighting, signs & signals)? A new card system and associated H&S test (different to the CSCS system - though affiliated to it). It is envisaged that to get work in this sector, you will have to have a card. Cards will not be as easy to get for an individual, as applications will have to be made through the company you work for. There is a requirement to register for an electrical NVQ to demonstrate continuing competence unless you qualify for grandfather rights. Linda
