Posted By Nicola Mason HSE recommends that bricklayers and similar trades are given regular skin checks by a suitably trained supervisor and encouraged to 'self inspect' for signs of harm. The staff carrying out the inspections need not be medically qualified and their main role is to report abnormal skin problems to somebody who is qualified. Would anyone know of a short occupational health course a supervisor could attend to enable him to have sufficient information on the skin checks before refering to the trained medical staff? We would obviously look for the appropriate risk assessments and MSDS in the first instance and where applicable a complete health check. Thanks in advance.
