Hi

does naybody know where I could obtain a good quality leaflet to be issued to our first aiders on the risks from Hepatitis B and the safeguards to be followed?

The HSE leaflet INDG342, 'Blood borne Viruses in the Workplace' has a section at the end specific to first aiders, its short & sweet but useful none the less

The MoD have a section in their JSP375, volume 2 (www.mod.uk). Very similar to HSE leaflet

thanks for these the HSE is good - I am also looking for information regards to vaccination and how first aiders would go about it - so if anybody knows of other leaflets I am interested

HSE have an advisory committee on dangerous pathogens - in 2003 they published on the web a risk assessment guide called "infection at work : controlling the risk. 26 pages.
