Posted By tip pugh I recently applied for a position as a safety engineer, but after speaking to the client on the phone they where after a safety engineer who designs safety sytems into processess. How does one go about gaining the knowledge required to perform this taste. Engineering course, any open colleges or training centres offer this kind of training. I have spoke to an assoiciate and they have said I need to be doing some sort of fire detection training. Point me in the right direction please

Posted By Descarte Google -> MSC Safety Engineering = http://www.findamasters....asp?btype=2&cour_id=2439 + many other links to higher education and courses in and related to Safety engineering. Normally one would start as an engineer for a company like petrochemical or heavy manufacturing seconded into a safety role through design processes and process safety engineering may be further put through a highed education course in safety engineering.
