Digital Projector installations that is.
I am an adviser to a large Unitary Authority. During routine audits, I have identified evidence of a recurring theme of inadequate installations. Examples include a 6mt suspended projector pedestal installed in a school atrium, attached to a steel girder by four 4" G clamps , projector pedestals installed in suspended ceilings situations sometimes only secured to a quarter inch plywood template placed on top of the ceiling tile, or on several occassions, screwed ONLY into the suspended ceiling tile.
I have yet to find one installation provided with any form of fall arrest provision.
Whilst all of those I have encountered have been adequately resolved, I am eager to establish if any other practitioners in this sector have similar experiences of inadequate installations.
PLEASE, NO DIATRIBES on Contractor Management.
The vagaries of devolved budgets and procurement autonomy do not help.
If you work in the Education Sector, and have not yet experienced any dodgy installations, it may be worth your while having a look above those suspended ceiling tiles, or check out those atria.
Any feedback gratefully received.
Thanks
Derek

And the other one you have not mentioned: not drawing attention to the asbestos register before setting them loose.
