I am desperate (yes, really) to start 'properly' auditing our safety management system. I am also keen to align toward an 18001 structure as this would integrate nicely with our Q & E systems, but I have some weeks before my IRCA course......and I can't wait!! Does anyone have any sample audit checklists I can try out (steal, borrow, beg) to get my head around this......and whether it is best to take a process approach or a departmental approach to OSH audits? I do have some very expert auditors to learn from, but they are not H&S specialist so I need to make sure it does not get too 'Quality'...if you know what I mean. I am stumbling very much into uncharted territory so any comments, anecdotes or derisory observations are welcomed! Pass the Special Brew! John
