On a blag here; anybody got any terms of reference for a 1996 regs safety commitee I can look at; I'm going to have to produce a model as part fo the policy and I've only got a couple of examples; more would be helpful. If you have let me know and we'll try and work out some way of you being able to email them to me (I hide my address on this forum as I really don't need viagra or second-hand earthmoving equipment)

you can email me directly with your contact details and I'll send you our TOR. We have a firewall ( I think that's what it is called) to catch all that spam.

Hi, I am also revising our ToR document and would be very interested in seeing what others have produced. Our draft revision is also available for those who wish to benchmark.

Good evening folks.
Sorry about this, but if you read the RoES Regs 1996 [I assume these are what you are referring to] you will find that there is no mention of a Safety Committee!
I do however strongly support the formation and use of Safety Committees in all workplaces.
I recommend that the client adopt the functions of the Safety Committee as defined in the Safety Reps & Safety Committees Regs 1977 and as further discussed in HS[G]65 and modified to suit their own consultation process.
