Posted By J Knight I was advised that before doing the NEBOSH Sp Dip I should do a certificate level course; I can't remember where I got this from and I'm not sure if it's true, but in the event I did an IEMA Associate Certificate with Key consultancy. This isn't a nationally accredited qualification, but it is recognised by IEMA and was pitched at about Gen Cert level, course was two weeks block release and cost c £1,500 inc accommodation and food. This course will serve as a stepping stone for the Sp Dip, John

Posted By Mark B You could also consider the Nottingham Trent University Diploma in Safety Health and Environmental Management. This is also franchised out to about 4 or 5 learning providers around the country (did mine at South Tyneside). See membership information and accredited courses, on this site. This way, you not only get the environmental course you are looking for, you also get a health and safety diploma, recognised by IOSH for full membership. The down side is it takes about 18 months to complete, costs in the region of £3000 and requires lots of hard work, but may be worth a look. Hope it helps, Regards, Mark.
