Posted By Katiem Hi Lance, I'm not sure if this will be of any help as you likely already know this, but tools of this nature should be rated by the manufacturer as to the approx noise they omit. You should be able to contact the manufacturer and get the info (Octave Band Analysis, dB (A) etc). Hopefully this will give you a good place to start before you look at all the expense of getting dosimeters in etc. There has been a good bit of research in this area re orthopedics.
