Can anyone tell me what the norm is in respect of an R&M Contract and who actually does the Risk Assessment and supplies the First Aid equipment? Is it the client as they are the owners of the plant rooms etc? Or is it part of the Contractors duty of care to their employees? Before I get any clever answers NO it is not written into the Contract.
Thanks

it is the contractors responsability to do the risk assessment and provide thier own first aid equipment, by prior arrangement they may make use of the clients facilities if agreed with all parties. The client should ensure thet the contractor has such arrangements in place.
