Posted By Kelvin Hello All, I require a shove in the write direction in determining the requirements for considerarions of designs in regards to disability access and usability. The situation is for 2-4 storey appartment blocks currently under design. Any help would be muchly appreciated. Kelvin

Posted By stevehaigh I believe you will find that all new builds will adhere to the building regs, and in those are stipulated the requirements for disabled access. If you require a dda audit email me abd i will send you one with all the relevant Questions and answers

Posted By Robert K Lewis Kelvin All designers will take into account the DDA requirements and building regs at pain of their professional liability. As a PS, which I assume is your approach based on your employment, you only need to have certification from the designer that the requirements have been met. Unless you are experienced in this area I would not attempt to try and assess the technicalities. Bob
