Posted By Tim If a scaffold is continues all the way around a building in effect forming a large type of box tie, does it still require rakers.

Posted By MelV If it's tube and fitting independant or putlog then yes but if it's system scaffold some of them don't require it, depends what you are using and where,ties etc.

Posted By Martin Daly If the scaffold has the proper sway braces on each fracade then you do not need ties or rakers for a distance of 3 meters from each corner. Remember a raker can only be 3 meters long any longer and you need to brace it. Yours Martin Daly
