Posted By Scott Dickson Hi all, I am possibly about to be given my first break in Health and Safety within a clinical manufacturing company. The company manufactures and packages a huge range of medication as precribed by doctors and pharmacists. If anyone would have or know where to find any information which may be of help to me in this new position, in particular concerning the use of clean rooms, I would be most gateful.

Posted By Jenny Collis Hi Scott Another route may be to contact one of the Specialist Groups e.g. Healthcare who might be able to point you in the right direction. Good Luck

Posted By Martin Mulholland Though not strictly only Health and Safety, there are overlaps with GMP. http://medicines.mhra.gov.uk/ Hope this helps. Martin

Posted By Diane Thomason Scott, Mug up on GMP and its relationship to H&S (safety/quality relationship). Also find out as much as you can about the company and the H&S responsibilities of their directors and staff. I used to work in Quality Assurance and I knew a few of the companies in this field. I'm dying to know who it is! Good luck Diane

Posted By Robin B Hi I agree with Martin as far as GMP goes but most likely you'll have GLP also. The good thing about it is that many of the manufacturing processes may be 'governed' by written PI's - although these are not written with H&S in mind Good Luck Robin
