Posted By IanD Sorry to bring this subject up again I have carried out a search on previous responses regarding a HAV database. Unfortunately the ones that have been recommended, I can not get any information out off them. Does anyone know of any database that I can get HAV info from regarding a small number of hand tools i.e. 4.5 inch angle grinders, drills etc, so I can do an initial assessment. I have tried the manufacturers web sites but to no avail Regards Ian

Posted By Martin Mulholland Ian, You would be best phoning the manufacturers directly to get the data. Vibration assessments are required for specific equipment models in use and an assessment should be based also on who is using the equipment. A log should be taken of typical or actual patterns of use - this will also assist in the Medical Assessment aspects of the Regs. Hope this helps. Martin
