Posted By garyOrange Hi all I have a new role that requires me to cover H&S at public and corporate events. I had some training in the past but does anyone know of any training providers or courses that are available out there? Help appreciated Gary

Posted By J Knight Hi You also need HSG195 - The Event Safety Guide, but be warned, reading it can cause paralysis and loss of higher cognitive functions. It also appears to say that you have to do COSHH assessments for soap, but I think that's because of poor grammar rather than intent. I am in a similar position as we are about to start organising major events, and I have to get up to speed by the end of this month (nobody ever said this job would be easy) John

Posted By Simon J Hi Gary As my first posting on this forum I am not sure if I can publicise the company I work for but untill told otherwise here go's. We are an event Health and Safety advisory company. We only work in the field of event H&S and carry out training for managing events safely. If you would like some more information please contact me directly. John as far as your comments go on HSG195 the purple guide I am a little surprised you find it such hard going. Compared with a lot of guidance I think it is a good effort which received a lot of input from industry insiders after a very poor first try. Simon

Posted By J Knight Hi Simon, Not knocking it, it's just very very all inclusive, and probably not meant to be read at a sitting; as a reference it is certainly comprehensive and very clear, there's just rather a lot of it, John
