Posted By James M looks good at the first glance but points like splitting the careers forum into jobs available and personnel available for employment have not been introduced to make it better for the paying customer. Any thoughts?

Posted By Robert K Lewis Could Martin explain to us where the closed forums have now disappeared to as I do not seem able to spot them. Also could we not have the option of the selecting the posting numbers to move from post to post as I find this much more efficient than scrolling. Reduces the RS problem no end. Visually it is better on the whole. Bob

Posted By Jonathan Breeze It looks very strange, but Im sure I'll get used to it. One thing Ive noticed is that the right hand column with "Section Links" & "Hot Topics" in seems to cover over the centre bit. Net result - I can't always see what I'm typing at the end of a line. Is that a problem with the website, or is it my computer settings at fault?

Posted By Angela Wheatcroft Hi, Glad you like the site revision and the forum re-write. Re the careers forum, James, we do hear your suggestions and aren't ignoring them if there haven't been any changes, but they're part of an overall, longer review of the website that's our next stage of development. The members forums (closed forums,) Rob, are still there - just login first and click 'continue' when you'll see a personalised page listing all your forums. To view a list of any remaining members forums you haven't registered for, just click 'members forums' in the section links. RE the demise of the numbers, Martin has supplied a longer, direct response but briefly, the full page means there are options other than mouse clicking and scrolling i.e. keyboard pageup/down, arrows up/down, for moving through a thread's postings. Many thanks for all your comments and suggestions, Happy surfing, Angela Wheatcroft

[I don't know how to do it - I rang my IT dept, and for once they managed to do something I wanted]

Posted By Mark Talbot There are some things I like, some I don't. The best is the general feel. Nice. The worst is that the hyperlinks in the text are almost indistinguishable! The whole world uses blue for hyperlinks - you have changed them to plum(?) Awful. They do not stand out, indeed they receed into the page. The other thing is that when you get to the front page, half of it is already below, off screen. So, too much on the front page ?

Posted By Website Co-ordinator We're glad most of you like the 'new look' IOSH discussion forum and website. The new IOSH website is 100% browser width, therefore some of you viewing on 800 x 600 or larger may see some overlap with the right hand navigation pulling across the page. This may be due to the size of your screen not allowing for the pages to 'stretch' to the required width to view the middle section of copy on the webpage e.g. when you are replying or making a posting. We advise anyone using a display screen configuration of 800 x 600 or larger, on a monitor 14" or smaller, to change your display setting one size smaller e.g. 1024 x 768, so you can view the whole page. You can change your screen size by adjusting the settings tab of the PCs display properties. There you will see a scroll bar allowing you to adjust the display size. We apologise for any inconvenience.
