Posted By Salus Another great week for the treasury, £13.5 million better off. Can safety professionals, IOSH, like minded people actually change where fines for breaches of H & S go to? Does anybody want to? Why can they not be used to promote, provide training, help in any way to protect from harm the men, women, young persons and children at work in this country Why do they go to the goverment?

Posted By Cr8r You might as well ask why speeding fines don't go to make improvements to roads and/or public transport. My guess is that if everything went into it's own "pot", there would be some pots that need to spend but can't generate their own income. Therefore, it all goes in the one big pot and gets spent in various ways, most of which none of us probably agree with!
