Periodically, when logging in to this web site, the section links and hot topics "windows" to the right of the discussion forum appear in front of the threads making them difficult to read in their entirety. Anyone else have the same?

No Bill,
It's quite a lot of us!
The answer is apparently "update your browser" which is unfortunately the one thing a lot of us are not allowed to do on our works computers.

We aren't allowed to either - but the IT department may do it for you [mine did] - took them 5 minutes

Had a response from web co-ordinator - Apparently some posters to the forums are creating the problem by missing out spacings in the title words and making it seem like a long word so stretching the box.
eg Manchester/London/Aberdeen/Scotland/Northwest
Solution is in our hands

Long words without spaces??? Most of the overlaps obscure the posters details and time of posting, so it has nothing to do with long words and no spaces! Interestingly, as I write this response, the text entry box is being obscured by the section links and hot topics.
A previous thread suggested that your browser needed to be IE5.5 or better. I'm running 5.5 and still have an overlap.
I can view all manner of web pages with no problem - this is the only site where there is an issue. Sounds more like a site-based rather than browser based issue.

It is in the title boxes as apparently there is a glitch which cannot deal with the problem. I originally thought it was my browser but it obviously is not!
So the answer is if you are putting in an 18+ character string without a space in your title it will give us all grief.

It also appears to be an intermittent problem, as it happened again to me earlier today, but when I logged in again just now, the problem seemed to have resolved itself....

I'm told it's all about screen resolution settings.
In MSIE, If you can cope with the lower font size, go to 'view' then 'Text size' then choose one smaller than you are currently viewing (If you get my drift). That should improve matters.
If you cannot cope with the reduction in font size then you are snookered.
Richie.
