A primary hazard warning diamond has a hazard class number at the bottom of the diamond. I know this number denotes the substances primary hazard, but where can I find a list that tells me the corresponding hazard for each number?

A full list can be found in volume II of the 2005 ADR Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (as would other such documents regarding the carriage of dangerous goods by either air, sea or rail) page 243, marginal 5.2.2.2.2 and then the full description under their relevant class in volume I if you want additional info.

Labeline have a very handy, free, poster which I have on my wall. Obviously it shamelessly advertises their labels but it is a useful reference. They also sell the IATA handbook if you ever need it.
