Posted By Jason Hough I started at my company as an apprentice electrical bias maintenance engineer. I use a copy of the 16th edition wiring regs BS7671:1992 which has a yellow cover this was used during my training courses I attended. I see now there is a brown cover - BS7671:2001 I guess I should update my copy to the later. Should I also have further training? We do most of our electrical work 'in - house ' what should we be doing to keep up to date?

Posted By Nicola Mason IEE website outlines the changes to BS 7671 http://www.iee.org/Publish/WireRegs/BS7671.cfm. They run a two day update course which will cover all aspects of the standard.
