Posted By Jim-F I am about to register as a consultant, and I know that it can vary from field to field and area to area but can any registered consultant give me an idea of volume of work to expect from IOSH, its for my forward forecasting of projected figures it would help thanks JIM

Posted By Merv Newman Perhaps the Consultancy Services people would like to tell us how many consutants are registered with them and how many outside inquiries have been recieved (last year or YTD will do) Merv

Posted By Ian Waldram Outline data presented at new Trustee/Council Members' Induction recently were: Register queries >700 annually, member entries >300. Note this is absolutely not an 'IOSH Consultancy Service', but one way IOSH tries to meet its charitable purpose of improving the safety and health of people affected by workplace risks. As with lots of IOSH activities, there are some plans to improve the service, e.g. by puting the Register online - but all such ideas have to be prioritised and resourced, so no quick changes are expected. If you have ideas for changing or improving the Register, then presenting those to Consultancy Group Exec. would be a good place to start.

Posted By Merv Newman Ian, thankyou for the numbers and my apologies for using the words "consultancy services". I just took them from the left-hand side bar of this page. Merv
